Libraries

Libraries provide free drop-in story and singing sessions for young children and work hard to be accessible for families – with accessible toilets, toys and free access to books, DVDs and more. Many also provide clubs for older children and adults.

Online Resources

The National Literacy Trust’s Words for Life website is filled with free activity ideas and parental support to help families.

The BookTrust website is a great resource for tips and research into early reading and literacy. Topics on the website range from book recommendations to ways to make reading more accessible for children with additional needs.
