Our data shows the national, regional and local support baby banks are providing babies, children and their families.

148 baby banks submitted their 2023 data to the Baby Bank Alliance to analyse and collate. In our inaugural year, we can begin to tell the story on the impact that 50% of baby banks across the UK are having. With over 300 baby banks operating across the UK, we know that the 2023 numbers represented less than half of the overall impact of UK baby banks.

This is the beginning of our story that highlights the significant need baby banks are meeting in their communities and illustrate the vital contribution they have on families experiencing poverty.  Providing immediate support when they need it most and ensuring babies and children have the essentials they need to thrive.

Alliance members

So far in 2023, 157 baby banks have joined the alliance as members. The community is constantly growing, and we have an aspiration to support all baby banks. Baby banks operate independently from the alliance, find out more about how we support them here. We are very proud to be working with and supporting our baby bank members.
